Stonewall Kitchen

When I was in Geneva last Friday, I came across an amazing company called "Stonewall Kitchen."

Stonewall Kitchen is what Ina Garten uses in her home for kitchen and dining items.

We had the chance to try all these different types of dips and relishes!  I came away with two of the ones I tried - a Raspberry Honey Mustard Pretzel Dip and a Farmhouse Relish.

 I am not a big fan of mustard - but this Mustard Dip was DELICIOUS!  And for the Farmhouse Relish - you add 8 oz. Cream Cheese and 1/4 cup of the relish and it becomes one of the best appetizer dips I have ever had!  It's sweet but spicy like a salsa at the same time.  

You can purchase either of these Stonewall Kitchen's website.  They also have amazing home and kitchen items!  I am so happy I found this!  Definitely going to be using this for a gifts website :)

WE ARE...MARQUETTE!

Ok, so I know I am a graduate from St. Norbert, but there are two teams that I was raised on to love more than any other sports teams in the World - The Green Bay Packers and the Marquette Golden Eagles.

Tonight, Marquette plays in the Sweet Sixteen hopefully making to the Elite Eight Dance.  Just wanted to show some Marquette pride and root for my fav college basketball team.

Some fun Kaminski-Marquette facts:

•  My Dad is a graduate of Marquette
•  My Uncle is a graduate of Marquette
•  My Brother-in-law is a graduate of Marquette
• My Sister is currently getting her MBA from Marquette
• My Cousin is currently getting his Law Degree at Marquette
• Zachary and I were married at Marquette's Cathedral - Church of the Gesu
• I was made an honorary Alumna to be married at Marquette
• My dad and uncle have season tickets to the basketball games
• My dad, sister and I saw Dwayne Wade play his last game at home before he went to the NBA
• My sister and I rushed the court after they one their division - the year they made it to the final four - and we had to leave the court because my sister got elbowed in the head by a player

Therefore!  We are definitely a Marquette family!

Smile...

Happy Wednesday all!

You know when you get to work sometimes and everything just seems frustrating or you are just too tired to do anything, but have to make yourself do the best you can?  That is how I felt yesterday!

And then all of a sudden after lunch,  a bouquet of yellow and white flowers with a balloon were delivered to me!  My recruiting manager, Mari, who I work for that works in Green Bay, sent me this beautiful flower arrangement just to thank me for all I do for her.  Out of the blue!  Being appreciated like this, makes me realize what a great company I work for and what great leaders I have!

Today at work, I am having to be a part of a leadership video and describing what I believe is Leadership.  Last night and this morning, I really reflected on what a leader really is about.  It's not just a title.  It's about inspiration, transparency, innovation, change...it's about wanting to illuminate the strengths in others. I am lucky enough to have met and worked for/with leaders with the characteristics above!

How are you a leader?  What is leadership to you?  What does being a leader mean to you?  Think about it!  It's a great way to reflect!

First Day of Spring!

Happy First Day of Spring everyone!

It has been like 84 degrees here every day for the past week, feels more like summer than spring to me!

Yet, I am so excited to make exciting new recipes for the spring and summer including rainbow fruit skewers, Caprese skewers, Caesar salad wraps and more!

Plus - this means closer to starting up our garden again!  Zachary loves to grow fresh basil, oregano, rosemary, and thyme, plus all different kinds of peppers!

I also love the sight of limes and lemons in our fruit bowl :)  It makes me very excited for spring!

St. Patrick's Day - Campillo Style!

Ok, So last post of the evening I promise, but I told you there were going to be a lot :)

Believe it or not, my Italian husband is more Irish than anything else :)

So on Saturday, we went over to the In-Laws to celebrate St. Patrick's day and Zach's 100% Irish Grandma's birthday!

The weather was beautiful and picture perfect!  Here are some great pictures from the day!

Geneva!

This past Friday, I took the day off to enjoy the beautiful weather and spend a day with my Mother-In-Law and Sister-In-Laws and my nephew/Godson Max came a long too :)

We took advantage of the weather and traveled to Geneva, IL and had a late lunch in St. Charles. 

Our favorite stop was definitely The Little Traveler, which is a cute old Mansion that has 36 rooms of stores in it!  Everything from wine, old fashioned Taffy, hats, Vera Bradley, Women's fashions, knick-knacks foer the kitchen and home, baby clothes and toys, to crystal and antiques!  If you would ever like to go, here is the website for the Little Traveler: http://www.littletraveler.com/

It has such great things, and I definitely came out with some great finds!

Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes

Ok now for the adult St. Patty's Day Treat!

I made Irish Car Bomb cupcakes - and let me say, the alcohol is not cooked off especially in the frosting, so these probably aren't the best for kids!

But for desert on Saturday for the Campillo family Irish bash/Grammie's Birthday, I decided to make these one of a kind, INTENSE cupcakes.

They are fun to make but do take time.
